DHAKA (Kashmir English): Information Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Maulana Pir Muhammad Mazhar Saeed Shah met with Bangladesh’s Adviser on Information Naheedul Islam during his visit to Bangladesh.
According to reports, matters of mutual interest were discussed during the meet. The AJK Minister congratulated the Bangladesh Information Advisor on assuming the post, and invited him to visit Kashmir and Pakistan.
Speaking on the occasion, Maulana Pir Muhammad Mazhar Saeed Shah said that Pakistan and Bangladesh are brother Islamic countries and are connected in the strongest relationship of Kalima Tayyaba.
He said that there are immense opportunities for cooperation between the two countries in the fields of sports, military equipment, textiles, agriculture, people-to-people relations, and sanitation. He said that political and economic interests can be achieved by utilizing each other’s potential.
Bangladesh Information Advisor Naheedul Islam said that the new leadership in Bangladesh is determined to give the relations with Pakistan a new height.
AJK Minister presents Kashmiri shawl
The Azad Kashmir Information Minister presented a Kashmiri shawl to Information Advisor of Bangladesh while Information Advisor Bangladesh gave gifts to Maulana Pir Muhammad Mazhar Saeed Shah.
Bangladesh has expressed support for Pakistan’s position on the Kashmir issue, and has also condemned India’s actions in illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, including extrajudicial killings, arbitrary arrests, and restrictions on freedom of expression.
Bangladesh has also called for the UN to fulfill its commitment to support Kashmiris in their struggle for self-determination.
Bangladesh and Pakistan have economic, cultural, and educational ties. The two countries have also cooperated in defence, including joint military exercises and training programs.
Bangladesh and Pakistan enjoy close relationship. The Kashmir conflict has been described as a threat to peace and stability in South Asian region and also a threat to the potential for economic development and regional cooperation.
