MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): The High Court of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) has issued a stay order against the ongoing recruitment process for temporary appointments to 23 Grade-14 posts in various cadres of the Physical Planning and Housing Department.

According to details, Acting Chief Justice Syed Shahid Bahar, during the preliminary hearing of the case titled “Raja Qaiser Bashir and Others vs. Azad Government and Others,” admitted the writ petition for regular hearing and ordered that the recruitment process remain suspended until further proceedings.

The petition was filed by overseers and stenographers who are already serving in the department on a temporary basis.

The petitioners challenged the selection process through their counsel, Chaudhry Adnan Bashir, arguing against the ongoing appointments.

Following the court’s order, the recruitment process for the 23 Grade-14 posts has been temporarily halted until the next hearing of the case.
