MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): Azad Jammu and Kashmir’s (AJK) Health Minister, Ansar Abdali, issued a powerful message to the nation following an Indian missile attack on Azad Kashmir late Tuesday night.

According to Minister Abdali, India launched a cowardly and unprovoked strike at 12:40 am, taking advantage of the darkness. The attack, he said, falsely claimed to target military camps, but in reality, the missiles landed in civilian areas. Tragically, a mother and her young daughter were martyred in the incident.

The minister stated that the Indian missile attack on Azad Kashmir is a clear sign that India’s aggression is no longer limited to occupied Kashmir, it has now reached Azad Kashmir as well. He criticised Indian media campaigns, calling them deceptive efforts that cannot hide the truth from the world.

Despite the aggression, Minister Abdali affirmed that the people of Azad Kashmir stand firmly with the Pakistan Army. “Our spirits are high, and we are unshaken,” he declared. “The Health Department of Azad Kashmir is on full alert.”

In response to the emergency, the AJK Health Ministry has activated all hospitals across the region. Medical teams, including doctors and paramedics, are fully mobilised. The department has ensured the availability of essential medicines, ambulances, and emergency supplies.

He has urged the public to remain calm in the face of these cowardly attacks, advising them to visit emergency centres if needed. “There is no need to panic,” Abdali said. “We are a brave and resilient nation, and God willing, we will write a new chapter in history.”

He ended his message by calling for unity and courage, reaffirming that both Pakistan and Azad Kashmir will endure and emerge stronger. The preparedness of healthcare staff together with public strength gives us grounds for confidence despite difficult times.
