POONCH (Kashmir English): The Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) government has cancelled the registration of 13 private schools in Poonch and Sudhanoti districts over their participation in anti-state activities, the Secretariat Elementary and Secondary Education said in a notification.
“The Chairperson of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Private Educational Institutions Registering Authority has accorded approval to withdraw registration of the following private schools in terms of Rule 8(3) of Private Educational Institutions (Registration, Regulation and Promotion) Rules, 2015,” the notification stated.
The registration was canceled on account of participation by the management, staff and students in the activities “prejudicial to the integrity and solidarity of the State.”
The institutions include Lt. Faisal Shaheed School Trarkhal, Sudhanoti, Sepal Public School Hajira, Scholar Public School, Hajira, Fertil Public School Hajira, Qurtaba Model School Abbaspur, and Minhaj-ul-Quran School Abbaspur.
Registration of Mustafa Model School Abbaspur, EFA Public School Rawalakot, Guidance School System Rawalakot, Vision School System Rawalakot, Iqra International School Rawalakot, Flying Angel School Rawalakot, and Grammar Public School Rawalakot has been canceled.
