LEEPA VALLEY (Kashmir English): In a significant development, the Azad Jammu and Kashmir government has allocated Rs360 million for the restoration of Leepa Valley’s main highway, Reshian Moji Road.
According to the tender issued by the Chief Executive Engineer of the PWD Highways Division, Jhelum Valley, the project will be completed in 24 months.
This move aims to restore the main highway connecting Leepa Valley to the rest of Azad Kashmir so that the commuters can have safe and smooth travel.
This road was constructed three years ago, but the work remained incomplete at some places, while several parts of the road were badly affected due to heavy rains and landslides last year.
A large amount has been allocated for the restoration of these damages and improvement of the road, which will make this road better and more durable.
Reshian Moji Road is the main route for the Leepa Valley and its improvement will not only facilitate smooth travel for the locals but will also promote tourism.
The road restoration will make it easier and safer for tourists to reach the Leepa Valley, which will have a positive impact on the economy of the region.
This project is great news for the residents and tourists of the Leepa Valley, who will soon be able to benefit from excellent travel facilities provided by the government.
