MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): The Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) government has appealed to the public to remain peaceful and urged them not to pay heed to fake news being spread under a specific agenda.

According to a press release issued by the Information Department of Azad Kashmir, 6 civilians and 3 police officers have been killed so far as a result of the violent protests by the Joint Awami Action Committee (JAAC) of Azad Kashmir.
Giving details about the losses in the protests, the department said that approximately 172 police officers were injured including 12 severely injured. As many as 50 civilians were also injured in the violent protests.
