MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): The Azad Kashmir government has announced hundreds of jobs to further strengthen the local government system and improve the delivery of public services.
The government has created 96 new posts of Secretary Local Government (B-7) and 276 new posts of Naib Qasid (B-1) through a fresh notification, the notification of which has been issued.
This step has been taken with the aim of increasing the administrative capacity of the state and making local government institutions functional so that better governance, transparent services, and convenience to the people can be provided at the local level.
According to the notification, these recruitments will lead to strengthening the local administrative structure of Azad Kashmir and increasing public welfare works.
The process of creating posts is considered a major step to promote the active role of local government and create employment opportunities.
Earlier, the focus has also been on the transformation of local governments and elections in Azad Kashmir.
Where the Election Commission has worked on the conduct of local elections and institutional reforms so that local representatives play a more effective role in serving the people with strong institutions.
Civil society and government sources say that the new recruitments will not only increase the efficiency of government offices but will also provide employment opportunities to the youth, which will improve the local economy.
The increase in staff in the secretariat and local offices will help reduce administrative pressure and facilitate the delivery of public services.
