MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): The Azad Kashmir government has ordered the transfer and new posting of seven officers.
Asim Khalid Awan has been transferred from the post of Deputy Commissioner, Bagh, and appointed as Deputy Commissioner, Muzaffarabad.
Syed Mumtaz Hussain Kazmi has been transferred from Deputy Commissioner, Poonch, to Deputy Commissioner, Bagh.
Faisal Mughal has been transferred from Deputy Commissioner, Jhelum Valley, to Deputy Commissioner, Bhimber.
Munir Ahmed Qureshi has been transferred from Deputy Commissioner, Muzaffarabad, and appointed as Deputy Secretary, Higher Education.
Iffat Azam has been transferred from Additional Deputy Commissioner, Kotli, to Deputy Commissioner, Jhelum Valley. Chaudhry Muhammad Tariq has been transferred from the post of Deputy Commissioner, Bhimber, and appointed as Director of Industries and Commerce.
Muhammad Razaullah Khan has been removed from the post of Director of Industries and Commerce; he has not been assigned a new posting.
AJK PM dissolves Zakat Council
Earlier, Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Prime Minister Iftikhar Gilani has dissolved the Zakat Council, removing around 3,000 discretionary appointments.
The move came as his government moves ahead with administrative and financial reforms.
According to reports, those removed include the chairman and members of the Zakat Council, chairmen of Zakat committees in 10 districts, constituency-level chairmen, and around 2,300 chairmen of local Zakat committees.
The chairman and members of the Ulema and Mashaikh Council are also being removed, while the relevant summary has been forwarded to the prime minister. Tajweed-ul-Quran coordinator is also being removed.
Earlier, those appointed to discretionary posts on the Chairman Prime Minister’s Inspection Commission, the Investment Board, and the Cultural Academy were removed.
