MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): Timely and successful operation by the Forest Department Muzaffarabad resulted in seizure of a Suzuki carrier loaded with Kail wood.
According to details, on the special instructions of Chief Conservator of Forests, Malik Asad Mahmood and Conservator of Forests Mir Naseer Ahmed, a raid was conducted on Pir Chinasi Road under the supervision of Divisional Forest Officer (Raid Division), Sohail Nasir Khan.
Jawad Mughal, Syed Mazhar Hussain Shah, Fahad Jahangir and Kashif Zaman were part of the raiding team.
According to sources, valuable illegal Kail wood was being smuggled on a Suzuki vehicle bearing registration number IDT-6662, which the staff confiscated and taken to the main office on Bank Road.
The Forest Department states that strict legal action will be taken against the suspects.
