ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): An important agreement was signed between the Higher Education Department of Azad Kashmir and the Federal Ministry of Education and Professional Training for innovation, transparency, and improvement in the examination system in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, capacity building, harmonization of the examination system with modern technology, and promotion of merit.
The MoU signing ceremony was held at the Federal Education Board, Islamabad, in which the Secretary of Higher Education, Azad Kashmir, Ms. Tehzeeb-ul-Nissa, and the Senior Joint Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Education and Professional Training, Aftab Rasheed, signed.
Additional Secretary Higher Education, Azad Kashmir, Raja Shahid Hussain, Chairman Federal Education Board, Chairman Education Board Mirpur Azad Kashmir, and others were also present on the occasion.
It should be remembered that in the agreement reached with the Jammu and Kashmir Joint Public Action Committee, the Action Committee had demanded that a cooperation agreement be signed with the Federal Ministry of Education and Professional Training regarding the improvement and transparency of the education and examination system.
The Azad Kashmir government has implemented the demand of the Action Committee and signed a formal MoU with the Federal Ministry of Education and Professional Training.
