ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): The TikToker Sana Yousaf murder case has formally entered trial as the accused Umar Hayat has been indicted on Saturday.

The case hearing was held under the Additional District and Sessions Judge Muhammad Afzal Majoka.

The accused has denied all the allegations and pleaded not guilty in the case hearing.

“I have not committed any such crime. All of this is false,” when asked about the charges against him. He also denied the robbery charges, insisting he was innocent.

The court has summoned witnesses for the next hearing, scheduled for September 25, while a formal charge sheet has been framed against the accused.

TikToker Sana Yousaf Case Background

A murder case has been registered after 17-year-old TikTok star Sana Yousaf was shot and killed at her home in Islamabad.

The murder case was lodged at Sumbal police station based on a complaint by Sana’s mother, Farzana Yousaf.

Police have applied Section 302 of the Pakistan Penal Code, which deals with murder.

According to the first information report (FIR), a copy of which is available to media platforms, Farzana stated that a man entered their house suddenly around 5 pm carrying a pistol. “Shot straight at my daughter with the intention to kill,” she said.

The FIR added that two bullets hit Sana Yousaf in the chest, leaving her critically wounded. She was rushed to the hospital but passed away from her injuries.

Later on, Islamabad police took into custody the main suspect in the murder of TikToker Sana Yousaf.

Police sources said the suspect, a resident of Punjab, has admitted to carrying out the killing. Officers also recovered the murder weapon along with Sana Yousaf’s iPhone from him.
