HATTIAN BALA (Kashmir English): In a heartfelt tribute to the brave sons of the soil who laid down their lives for the homeland, Assistant Commissioner Hattian Bala Kamran Khan visited the graves of martyrs, laid floral wreaths, and offered prayers.
Speaking on the occasion, he said the sacrifices of these valiant soldiers will always be remembered, as they gave their lives so that the nation could breathe in freedom.
The Assistant Commissioner first visited the grave of Sepoy Taimoor Chak Shaheed, son of Muhammad Gul Zaman, a resident of Lamnian Khawriyan, who embraced martyrdom on 20 July 2009 while bravely fighting in the Lal Qila Sector of Sialkot.
Prayers were offered for the elevation of the martyr’s soul, and Kamran Khan said that Sepoy Taimoor’s sacrifice serves as a guiding light for generations to come. “These brave soldiers have become immortal through their sacrifice, and the nation will forever honor their legacy,” he remarked.
Following this, the Assistant Commissioner also paid his respects at the grave of Sepoy Zaheer Ahmed, son of Muhammad Sharif.
He laid flowers and recited prayers, acknowledging the martyr’s courage and dedication. “These are the heroes who stand guard day and night in the icy winds and snowy peaks of our mountains to defend the motherland, so that we may sleep in peace,” he said.
He further added that the soldiers of the Pakistan Army not only face every enemy assault with unmatched bravery but also effectively counter every conspiracy and propaganda.
“We are proud of our armed forces and our martyrs. These are the true heroes—our pride and our crown. Their sacrifices will not be forgotten, and the entire nation stands united to carry forward their mission.”
The event was attended by residents, family members of the martyrs, and other civil and military officials, all of whom paid heartfelt tribute to the fallen heroes.
Today, the nation continues to salute its martyrs with respect and determination. It is because of these brave souls that the flag of the homeland continues to fly high with honor, and every enemy scheme is foiled with unity and courage.
