MIRPUR (Kashmir English): In a momentous achievement, Saghir Khan, a Pakistani of Kashmiri origin, became the first Pakistani and Kashmiri to receive the esteemed Community Service Award in New York on Thursday.

This distinguished award acknowledges Khan’s exceptional achievements in community service, cementing his position in history. Saghir Khan from Charrhoi town in Azad Jammu Kashmir’s (AJK) Kotli district received this recognition from Jessica Ramos who is a representative of the Community Service Honour Centre at a magnificent ceremony. Numerous attendees from different nations participated in the event to show Khan’s widespread appeal throughout the world.

As president of the American Alliance, Khan has spent decades addressing community issues, receiving great praise from the Pakistani and Kashmiri diaspora populations in the United States. On the first day of Eid ul Fitr, his hometown of Charhoi ecstatically celebrated his success.
