According to a notification issued by the Department of Physical Planning and Housing, the President of Azad Kashmir has approved a total of Rs 27.300 million for the payment of arrears and salaries to the employees of Pearl Development Authority Rawalakot, Bagh Development Authority, and Neelum Development Board.

As per details, Rs 11 million will be provided to the Pearl Development Authority Rawalakot, Rs 11 million to the Bagh Development Authority, and Rs 5 million will be provided to the Neelum Development Board.

These amounts will be paid as a one-time grant and will be transferred by March 31, 2025.

The employees of the Bagh Development Authority have been protesting against the non-payment of salaries for the past several months.

The employees said that in this era of inflation, it has become extremely difficult to survive without salaries and the government should immediately pay the arrears.

After the protests and continuous demands, the government has decided to pay the salaries and arrears of the employees, accepting their demands.

However, the employees have also stressed on the establishment of a permanent system for timely payment of salaries so that such problems do not arise again in the future.

This decision has come at a time when Eid-ul-Fitr is approaching and timely payment of salaries will reduce the financial difficulties of the employees.
