RAWALAKOT (Kashmir English): A civilian was killed while two police officials were seriously injured when Omar Nazir Kashmiri and his associates opened fire at a Rawalakot police check post on Friday night.
According to initial reports, two police were injured while a civilian lost his life in the incident.
Furthermore, the news that Omar Nazir Kashmiri has been attacked is false and just a rumour.
Kashmiri was stopped at a Rawalakot check post
The initial reports suggest that Kashmiri was stopped at a check post, and there was a cross fire in which the civilian was killed while two AJK policemen were injured. Umer Nazir is alive, safe and on the run, according to the reports.
According to sources, Omar Nazir Kashmiri, a core member of the Jammu and Kashmir Joint Awami Action Committee, and his associates were stopped at the checkpoint, whereupon Omar Nazir Kashmiri and his associates opened fire on the police, injuring two police officers. They said police fired to disperse the crowd.
