LAHORE (Kashmir English): Peshawar Zalmi lifts the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 11 Trophy for the second time by defeating Hyderabad Kingsmen by five wickets.
Aaron Hardie was a standout batsman for Zalmi by scoring 56 runs, while Abdul Samad scored 48 runs, leading Peshawar to victory in the PSL 11 Final.
Muhammad Ali took three wickets while Hunain Shah and Akif Javed took one wicket each.
Earlier, Hyderabad Kingsmen’s batting faltered against Peshawar Zalmi, and the team was dismissed for 129 in 18 overs.
In the final match of PSL 11, Peshawar Zalmi won the toss and decided to field first against Hyderabad Kingsmen.
Kingsmen’s batting line-up was in trouble from the start, and the entire team was dismissed for 129 in 18 overs. Saim Ayub was the top scorer for Hyderabad Kingsmen with 54 runs, completing the first half-century of the event.
Hyderabad Kingsmen captain Marnus Labuschagne was dismissed for 20 runs. Maaz Sadaqat scored 11 runs. Apart from them, Hassan Khan was dismissed for 12 runs, Irfan Niazi and Kusal Perera scored one run each, Glenn Maxwell was dismissed for zero, and Haneen Shah scored 9 runs.
Aaron Hardie was the most successful bowler for Peshawar Zalmi, with 4 wickets for 27 runs. Nahid Rana took 2 wickets for 22 runs
PSL Final Closing Ceremony
Earlier, a colourful closing ceremony ahead of the final was held, featuring performances by renowned singers, while a spectacular fireworks display formed a key part of the event.
Atif Aslam, Ali Azmat, Arif Lohar, Aima Baig and the Sabri Sisters performed at the ceremony.
PSL 11 Prize Money
According to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), the prize money for the winning team is 500,000 dollars, while the prize money for the runner-up is 200,000 dollars.
According to the PCB, for the first time in the history of the PSL, the winning team will be given a separate prize money of 500,000 dollars. The PCB says that the runner-up team of the PSL will also get an additional prize money of 300,000 dollars.
The franchise that strives for the best player development of the PSL will also get 200,000 dollars.
