ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): The federal capital underwent a major operation that aimed to eliminate street encroachments while simultaneously restoring green spaces, which needed to be supervised by both Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and CDA Chairman.
The Frontier Constabulary (FC) conducted destruction activities during their mission to dismantle the FC camp office, which operated from the green belt area between the Marriott Hotel and Ayub Chowk.
Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi spoke to media representatives about the operation, which will continue to operate without any bias for the purpose of restoring Islamabad’s natural beauty and its original urban design.
He said that the law is equal for all and no government or private institution will be allowed to construct or occupy government land, especially green belts.
Mohsin Naqvi stated that the FC plays a vital role as a security organization that needs to receive a new official location to replace its destroyed camp office so its operations can maintain their normal course.
The CDA Chairman confirmed his dedication to complete the city-wide process of removing encroachments from sidewalks and public areas, which will enable citizens to move freely while restoring the city to its original design.
