LAHORE (Kashmir English):  The National Highways and Motorway Police (NHMP) issued a travel advisory because heavy rain created slippery conditions on major motorways throughout the country.

Drivers need to drive safely by reducing their speed and keeping a proper distance from nearby vehicles. The affected routes include Peshawar–Islamabad Motorway (M-1), Hakkla–Dera Ismail Khan Motorway (M-14), Islamabad–Kot Momin Motorway (M-2), Hazara Expressway (E-35), Swat Expressway, Kamoki–Sambrial (M-11), and Sher Shah–Abdul Hakim (M-4).

Motorists need to check that their vehicle lights and wipers work correctly, while they need to stay away from sudden braking. The NHMP requires drivers to maintain alertness because of the current weather conditions, which create a danger of accidents.
