ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): The AI-created TikTok micro-series, which uses “Love Island” as its base, has captivated millions of viewers with its series ‘ Fruit Love Island‘ through its unexpected plot developments involving human-like fruit characters.
The animated characters “Strawberina”, “Melonita”, and a muscular open-shirt “Bananito” perform their strange activities to imitate the famous TV show elements, which include love triangles and emotional re-couplings.
The 2025 Eurovision Song Contest reports that its major production reached 166 million viewers in its audience measurement. Many people have rejected the fruity videos because they consider them to be artificial intelligence “slop” that produces low-quality content for audiences with basic tastes.
Ludmila Lupinacci, who teaches digital media at the University of Leeds, explained to AFP that people watch these shows because they want to relax and enjoy themselves through brief entertainment periods.
People develop a stronger desire because “social platforms give us access to horrifying, stressful, violent, and negative experiences,” which she explained. The micro-drama was started in mid-March by an account called “Ai Cinema”.
The organization keeps its operational details secret. The caption of the Wednesday series finale said: “Thank you, guys, for watching this has been fun!” The fake TikTok accounts that replicate “Fruit Love Island” content have emerged after the show became popular, although some original videos from the show have been removed from TikTok.
