Bahrain FM acknowledges Pakistan’s contribution to peace initiatives

ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): Deputy Prime Minister / Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar  held a telephone conversation today with the Foreign Minister of Bahrain, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, according to a statement from Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

According to the press release, “The two leaders discussed the latest regional situation.FM underscored the urgent need for de-escalation and emphasized the importance of dialogue and diplomacy. ”

“He highlighted the Pakistan–China five-point initiative aimed at promoting peace and stability in the Middle East and the Gulf region, as per the statement.

Bahrain FM Al Zayani appreciated the efforts being pursued by Pakistan for dialogue and diplomacy towards peace and stability in the region. Both sides also exchanged views on multilateral efforts, including at the UNSC, and agreed to remain in close contact.

‘Never refused to go to Islamabad’, says Iran’s FM Araghchi on Pakistan’s peace efforts

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi on Saturday said that Tehran has never refused to go to Islamabad for possible peace talks, openly acknowledging Pakistan’s efforts to mediate US-Iran talks to stop the ongoing war.

Taking on X, the Iranian top diplomat said that Iran’s position is being misrepresented by the US media, while expressing gratitude to Pakistan for its efforts for peace.

“We are deeply grateful to Pakistan for its efforts and have never refused to go to Islamabad,” he wrote on X.

Furthermore, Araghchi said, “What we care about are the terms of a conclusive and lasting END to the illegal war that is imposed on us.”

He also shared a video showing Iranians waving Pakistan’s flags in an apparent show of appreciation for Pakistan’s stance and its people.

In response, Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Ishaq Dar, has appreciated his Iranian counterpart for acknowledging Pakistan’s effort for lasting peace in the region. “Truly appreciate your clarification, my Dear Brother,” he wrote on X.
