ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): Proposals have been finalised to stop the Iran-US war at the four-nation foreign ministers meeting held here on Sunday.
The meeting of the foreign ministers of four countries was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The meeting was attended by foreign ministers of Pakistan, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt.
Various proposals discussed to stop Iran-US war
During the meeting, various proposals to stop the ongoing Iran-US war were discussed. Subsequently, the participants finalized the proposals to put an end to the Iran-US conflict.
Later, Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan met with Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif. Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar, National Security Advisor Lieutenant General Muhammad Asim Malik, and Special Assistant Tariq Fatemi were also present at the meeting.
According to a statement, the Prime Minister warmly welcomed the Saudi Foreign Minister. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed his warm good wishes for the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and also conveyed good wishes for the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
The Prime Minister reiterated Pakistan’s complete and unwavering solidarity and support for Saudi Arabia, appreciating the commendable restraint exercised by Saudi Arabia during the current crisis, and also mentioned his recent discussions with the Crown Prince, including the meeting held in Jeddah on March 12.
The Prime Minister also informed the Saudi Foreign Minister about Pakistan’s extensive diplomatic efforts during the current crisis, which include efforts to de-escalate tensions and bring the US and Iran to the negotiating table.
Emphasizing Saudi Arabia’s leadership role in the Muslim Ummah, the Prime Minister also stressed the need to promote unity among Islamic countries at this critical time.
The Saudi Foreign Minister thanked the Prime Minister and informed him about the Saudi position on the current situation in the region.
Pakistan and Saudi Arabia agreed to continue close coordination in their positions for peace and stability in the region.
