ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): Islamabad Police have announced their complete security measures and traffic control systems, which will be used during the Chaand Raat and Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations.
The city will receive security from more than 7,000 police officers and personnel who will work together with volunteers to ensure safe and peaceful celebrations.
The police department will deploy about 3,000 officers to monitor the entrance points of mosques, Imambargahs, and open-air Eid celebrations through body screening checkpoints, which will control access to the events.
Religious locations will restrict all parking activities. The Traffic Police will deploy 500 officers to monitor traffic throughout the city, while special teams will focus on stopping one-wheeling and other driving offenses.
More than 2,000 officers will maintain public safety at parks, cemeteries, and other recreational areas through their combined presence of foot patrols, bicycle units, and mounted police.
Family parks will operate as exclusive areas for families, while special women police units will monitor recreational areas during Eid celebrations, according to earlier announcements.
The police departments, which include mobile teams, Dolphin Squad units, and patrol units, will conduct their expanded monitoring operations throughout the entire city.
Authorities have warned that illegal activities such as aerial firing and stunts like one-wheeling will be strictly dealt with. The Islamabad Police have emphasized that all available resources will be mobilized to ensure foolproof security during Chaand Raat and Eid-ul-Fitr 2026 celebrations.
