KARACHI (Kashmir English): TikToker Rabeeca Khan’s father and comedian Kashif Khan shared tips on how to avoid unnecessary expenses on daughters’ marriage.
Recently, Kashif Khan participated in a private TV channel’s Ramadan transmission where he discussed various issues of life, including marriage.
The host asked a question about how to save money on marriage, and does everyone have wishes for their first marriage?
Responding to this, Kashif Khan said that everyone has wishes for their marriage, adding that one should fulfill their wishes but also take care of expenses.
While explaining how to spend less, he said that buying expensive clothes and jewelry should be avoided. He added that quality designer clothes can be rented, and even gold and silver jewelry can be rented.
On the question of giving gifts to the groom, Khan said that at my daughter’s wedding, we had already decided that the groom’s family would fulfil their responsibilities themselves, and we would do ours.
“The custom of giving clothes to relatives has gone; now no one makes clothes for the entire family,” he responded to a question.
Kashif Khan further said that now people combine the mehndi and wedding into one single ceremony of ‘shendi’, which can also save expenses.
He revealed that Hussain’s and his family’s arrangements were solely handled by Hussain himself, and they managed their own side.
It should be noted that Kashif Khan’s daughter, Rebecca Khan, is a social media influencer whose wedding ceremonies were organized for many days, while she was also criticized for the excessive wedding ceremonies and expenses. She got married to fellow content creator Hussain Tareen in a huge ceremony, videos of which went viral on social media.
