ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday announced compensation for the families of the martyrs of the terrorist attack on Imambargah Khadija-tul-Kubra in Islamabad’s Tarlai area last Friday.
According to the state-run Radio Pakistan, the government will provide ten million rupees to Shaheed Auon Abbas’s family and five million rupees each for the families of other martyrs.
Moreover, the Prime Minister also announced three million rupees each for the critically injured and one million rupees for the wounded.
He made these announcements while visiting the site of the blast and the residence of Shaheed Auon Abbas in Islamabad today.
During his visit to the residence of Auon Abbas, he offered Fateha for the departed soul and expressed his condolences to the bereaved family. He said Shaheed Auon Abbas will be posthumously awarded on August 14 for his bravery in stopping the terrorist attack.

During the visit, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif condemned the heinous act of terrorism as an extreme form of barbarism. He said the entire nation was plunged into grief over this atrocity and affirmed that the sacrifices of the martyrs would not go in vain.
Tarlai imambargah attack
The death toll from the suicide bombing on an imambarga has reached 38 on Monday, the hospital data said.
On the day of the incident, a health official said that 28 dead bodies were brought to Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (Pims). On the other hand, Polyclinic said that four dead bodies were brought to the hospital, which added up to 32 deaths.
More details were reported later after several injured scummbed to injuries in PIMS and HBS Institute of Healthcare and Allied Health Sciences.
Talking to the media last week, Federal Minister for Interior Mohsin Naqvi revealed that master mind and the four facilitators of the Tarlai incident have been arrested by the law enforcement agencies.
He said that the mastermind of the attack is related to the banned ISKP. The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) has apprehended all the people associated with the incident, he said.
Naqvi further added that one official was martyred and some were injured during the raids in Peshawar and Noshera.
The Interior Minister said that India is funding terrorists, be it Khyber Pakhtunkhwa or Balochistan. We are currently in a state of war, adding that India cannot traditionally win a war with Pakistan, so it is resorting to proxies.
He said multiple agencies launched an investigation immediately after the blast and carried out operations overnight.
