Walee Technologies
Walee Tech works in media, finance, and technology sectors with a global presence, serving customers from the Middle East, North Africa, Pakistan, and Turkey.
Muhammad Ahsan Tahir serves as the CEO of Walee Group and is also the company’s founder. Walee Technologies was founded in November 2019, and its headquarters are in Islamabad, G-10 sector.
Earlier last week, Walee Technologies also acquired the international media rights for the 11th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) for a record price.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced that the one-year agreement for Global Media Rights for PSL 11, minus the India Region, has been awarded to Walee Technologies, which was the highest successful bidder.
“On a comparable, equivalent basis for the same regions, this represents a 149% increase in value compared to the previous cycle, highlighting the growing brand value and reach of PSL worldwide. This substantial uplift underscores the league’s rising stature as one of the world’s leading T20 tournaments,” the PCB said.
It may be mentioned here that the PCB could not get even the reserve price in its first attempt to sell the media rights a couple of weeks ago.
The 11th edition of the Pakistan Super League is scheduled to begin on March 26 and conclude on May 3.
