Brother-in-law, two others, arrested for gang-raping orphan girl in Bagh

BAGH (Kashmir English): Police arrested three accused, includig victim’s Brother-in-law, for gang-raping an orphan girl in the Bagh District of Azad Kashmir, District Police Bagh said on Monday.

According to the police, the accused include Zaheer, Qamar, and Ishaq, while the police also recovered three motorcycles used in the crime from the accused.

The accused kidnapped an orphan girl, a first-year student, kept her in detention for two days, and gang-raped her. The accused include the brother-in-law and a cousin brother-in-law, police said.

As per details, Superintendent of Police Bagh Muhammad Riaz Mughal received a complaint about the sexual assault of a girl. Taking immediate notice, SP Bagh ordered Inspector CIA Rafaqat Abbasi to immediately arrest the accused.

On this, Inspector Abbasi, along with SI Gohar Arif, Constables Waqar Hameed, Hasnain Shah, Ansar Naseer, Karamat, and Shahbaz, took action and arrested the accused within 24 hours.

Police said that a case of rape was registered against the accused, and an investigation has been initiated.

SP Bagh said that such a brutal accused will be brought to justice at all costs and will be given the strictest punishment according to the law.
