ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): Islamabad’s educational institutions returned to their regular operating hours on Monday following the completion of the modified winter schedule.
All educational institutions in the Islamabad Capital Territory resumed their normal morning and evening opening times and closing times. Regulators had introduced revised timings in early December and kept them in place until January 31, 2026, to make school hours more manageable during cold weather, especially in the early mornings.
Officials said authorities decided to return to normal schedules because weather conditions had improved and daylight hours had increased, which made it easier for students to attend classes.
The academic institutions have used digital communication channels to share the new scheduling information with parents and students.
