ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): Medical experts have advised women to increase water intake and their intake of seasonal fruits such as kinnow, malta and guava to prevent skin problems during winter.
During peak winter, cold and dry weather causes reduction in moisture in the air, causing skin dehydration.
Experts warn that women are particularly affected, as dehydration results in dry and dull skin which leads to a feeling of tightness. These conditions often become a source of discomfort, especially for women.
During winter months, lack of hydration makes women’s faces appear lifeless and dry.
Low water intake worsens skin condition
According to specialists, low water intake and neglect of seasonal fruits further worsen skin condition in winter. Dermatologists recommend regular water intake and the use of winter fruits, including kinnow, malta and guava, to keep the skin fresh and healthy.
They are of the view that insufficient water intake is one of the main causes of winter-related skin problems.
They believe that adequate hydration and proper diet can help women maintain healthy skin throughout the cold season.
