LAHORE (Kashmir English): To empower educated women of rural areas with digital employment skills, the Punjab government has inaugurated another stage of its Mein Digital program.
This program is a joint project of the Punjab Skills Development Fund with government partners under Maryam Nawaz’s leadership. A spokesperson stated that the program is designed for women’s digital literacy and home-based income through their skills.
The program still considers job access hurdles and women’s economic mobility in rural Punjab as the main challenge. Advantages: Apparently, the program will last for 6 months, during which the selected candidate will be given training in digital skills along with the payment of PKR 5,000 each month.
The current batch has a total of 2,000 openings. Due to the very high demand, the officials have stated that the application period for this batch will be very short. The last day for submission is January 25
Requirements
The program has specified that students must have an education of 16 years (at least) to be eligible for the program. Applications are only accepted from women residents of rural areas of Punjab.
Moreover, the applicants must take an entry test and pass it to be able to enroll. The age range for female candidates is 21 to 40 years.
How to apply
The women who are interested can apply electronically through the official PSDF website. The authorities have informed that the applicants should carry out the whole process before the deadline, as the seats are very limited.
