NEW YORK (Kashmir English): British media have claimed that US President Donald Trump has ordered the military to prepare a plan for an attack on Greenland.
The British newspaper claimed in its report that the US President has ordered the Joint Special Operations Command to prepare a plan for the attack.
However, the Joint Chiefs of Staff are opposing the plan; according to them, this action would be illegal, and Congress would not support it.
According to the newspaper, several officials, including presidential advisor Stephen Miller, are in favor of an attack on Greenland, and the courage of officials like Stephen Miller has increased after recent successful operations against Venezuela.
The report further claims that President Trump wants to divert public attention from the current situation of the US economy, while his goals are also to divert voters’ attention to a major foreign issue before the midterm elections.
The report also claimed that if President Donald Trump attacked Greenland, it would be an open disagreement with the British Prime Minister and in that case the NATO alliance would break up.
It should be recalled that the US President, while talking to reporters at the White House yesterday, had said that the US should own Greenland so that Russia or China could not occupy it.
