ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): The federal government has announced the official winter vacations 2025 for schools and colleges for the academic season 2025-2026. This announcement has been made by the Federal Directorate of Education.
In this regard, as per an official notification sent by the Federal Directorate of Education, all educational institutions functioning in the federal system are closed from 26th December 2025 to 3rd January 2026. Islamabad model schools and colleges functioning in and around Islamabad are included in this notification.
Normal academic programs shall resume on Monday, 5 January 2026. Students are advised to join school on the scheduled date to prevent any form of interruption in their studies.
The Directorate has also declared that Saturday, 10 January 2026, is also a working day. The administrative, teaching, and non-teaching employees will report to work on that day to undertake priority tasks that have already been communicated by the Directorate.
The winter holidays schedule has also been conveyed to the heads of all institutions through Area Education Officers. The schedule has been sent with the approval of the Director General of the Federal Directorate of Education, which ensures its implementation in the federal education department of Islamabad.
