DUBAI (Kashmir English): The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the schedule for the T20 World Cup 2026.

The T20 World Cup will be played from February 7 to March 8 as India and Sri Lanka are the joint hosts for the event.

The ceremony for the announcement of the ICC T20 World Cup 2026 schedule was held in Mumbai.

The matches of the T20 World Cup 2026 will be held in 7 venues – Chennai, New Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Colombo, and Kandy.

The 20 teams of the T20 World Cup have been divided into 4 groups, like the previous format, the top 2 teams from each group will qualify for the Super 8 stage.

In the Super 8 stage, 8 teams have been divided into 2 groups; the top 2 teams from both groups will qualify for the semi-finals.

Group A includes India, Pakistan, USA, Netherlands and Namibia. Group B includes Australia, Sri Lanka, Ireland, Zimbabwe and Oman.

Group C includes England, West Indies, Bangladesh, Nepal, Italy, Group D includes New Zealand, South Africa, Afghanistan, Canada and UAE.

Pakistan and India will face each other in Colombo on February 15. Ahmedabad has been selected for the final, but if Pakistan reaches, the final will be in Colombo.

On the other hand, Mumbai and Kolkata have been selected for the semi-finals, but if Pakistan reaches, the semi-final will be in Colombo.
