BAGH (Kashmir English): The Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has made a major announcement following the appointment of Faisal Mumtaz Rathore as the new Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif laid the foundation stone of the Danish School System facility in the Hari Gehl area within the Bagh district, a scenic and significant region of AJK.

The ceremony was attended by the newly elected AJK Prime Minister Faisal Mumtaz Rathore, cabinet ministers, and senior PML-N leadership from Pakistan and Azad Kashmir.

The event also coincided with World Children’s Day, during which both leaders sent a message of solidarity to children across Azad Kashmir and the Line of Control, especially those living under difficult conditions in occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

During his address, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif sent a strong message with regard to education, child protection, and development, saying the welfare, security, and educational rights of children are a national priority. He underlined that Pakistan stands together with the community of nations to strive for children’s rights under the theme “My Day, My Rights”.

The future of the nation is linked to the growth and empowerment of the new generation, the Prime Minister added, insisting that joint global cooperation is necessary for child welfare.

He repeated the government’s commitment to preventing violence against children, adding that educational and health facilities are being improved across the country.

The Prime Minister said the Danish School in Bagh, whose project was approved for Rs3.42 billion by the CDWP, is rapidly and satisfactorily underway.

He reiterated the commitment of the incumbent government to ensuring education facilities, scholarships, health facilities, and skill development centres for children both in Pakistan and AJK.

The foundation stone laying ceremonies in Bagh and Bhimber have already taken place, while the Danish School project in Neelum Valley is also set to begin soon.

A state-of-the-art Danish School in Haveli Kahuta promises a milestone in strengthening the educational infrastructure of Azad Jammu and Kashmir and fulfills another commitment of the Prime Minister, Shehbaz Sharif, to the people of the region.
