SRINAGAR (Kashmir English): A major explosion took place in Nowgam, the outskirts of Srinagar in Indian occupied Kashmir, late Friday, according to the Indian media.

The initial reports indicate that the blast occurred in or around the Nowgam police station complex, which was handling the recent terror module, with the first FIR in that investigation registered there, media reported.

The initial videos shared on social media showed significant destruction inside the compound, with several vehicles engulfed in flames, and sections of the police station appeared heavily damaged.

Media reports categorically suggest that the incident was not a terrorism act, rather, it was mishandling of some explosive material that led to the explosion.

The Indian authorities and media are in a difficult situation where they can’t even blame Pakistan for the incident as it has had been a practice in the past.

The Indian media cannot even say it was a terrorist attack. If they make the mistake of saying that, Congress will say, “Bravo, now attack Pakistan.”

The BJP government already lost six 6 planes attacking Pakistan six months ago. That’s why the BJP government knows that if they attack Pakistan this time, they will have to lose 12 planes.
