BANNU (Kashmir English): A former station house officer (SHO), Abidullah, who was abducted by miscreants two days ago, was found dead in the Daud Shah area of Bannu on Tuesday.

According to the sources, the abducted officer was martyred and his dead body was found in the limits of Cantt Police Station in Bannu.

Police sources said that the abducted officer had previously served as the SHO of Police Station Wazir. He was dismissed from service by the District Police Officer (DPO) a day earlier.

A group named Lashkar-i-Difaat al-Quds has claimed responsibility for the kidnapping.

Police officials have condemned the incident, calling it a serious attack on law enforcement.

They said the act highlights the worsening law and order situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, where such incidents have become increasingly frequent.

The martyrdom of SHO Abidullah Khan has deeply saddened the local police force and the wider community.
