“Made in Pakistan” exhibition concludes in Jeddah

JEDDAH (Kashmir English): The “Made in Pakistan” exhibition concluded here on Saturday, that will surely help strengthen trade ties with brotherly country Saudi Arabia.

Jeddah International Exhibition and Convention Centre hosted the highly anticipated “Made in Pakistan” exhibition, according to a press release.

The three-day event showcased Pakistan’s finest products and services, fostering stronger trade and investment ties between the two countries.

Exhibition, a business platform

The exhibition attracted people from all walks of life including diplomats, government officials, prominent business leaders from both countries and media representatives.

The exhibition provided a platform for Pakistani businessmen to engage with potential buyers and partners in the Kingdom, in a boost for economic collaboration.

Speaking to the participants at the closing ceremony, Jam Kamal Khan, Pakistan’s Commerce Minister, lauded the exhibition’s contribution in opening new avenues for Pakistani businesses in Saudi Arabia.

He was of the view that the exhibition served as a key platform to bring stakeholders together, facilitating interactions to enhance bilateral trade and investment.

The event offered a diverse range of Pakistani products, including cutlery, auto parts, sports goods and sportswear, surgical and medical apparatus, fans, construction material, textiles, processed agricultural products and various services.

Furthermore, two technical sessions were also organised on the sidelines of the exhibition to familiarize foreign participants with Saudi Arabia’s regulatory framework.

Minister Jam Kamal Khan emphasized participating businesses to build on the connections made during the event.

He highlighting Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, Expo 2030 Riyadh, and FIFA World Cup 2034 as key opportunities for Pakistani businesses.

He viewed that Pakistan could extend its marketplace percentage in one-of-a-kind sectors inclusive of textiles, IT offerings, consultancy, food, sports goods, light engineering, hospitality, and architectural services.

Kamal entreated Pakistani corporations to tap into Saudi Arabia’s booming tourism and construction sectors. He also assured them of the Pakistani authorities’ commitment to enhancing the Ease of Doing Business index. He additionally vowed to increase support to businesses seeking to expand in worldwide markets.
