LAHORE (Kashmir English): The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the itinerary for the Ghani School Cricket Cup 2025, a 35-overs-a-side one-day competition that brings together eight leading school teams from Lahore.
The competition, to be arranged in collaboration with the Ghani Group, is aimed at encouraging school-level cricket and spotting young talent. It will be played at different venues in Lahore, including the PCB headquarters at Gaddafi Stadium.
The eight participating teams are Aitchison College, Beaconhouse, Crescent Grammar School, Gohar Education System, Moon Public School, Muslim Model High School, Pilot School, and The City School.
PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi inaugurated the tournament before the opening match between Aitchison College and Beaconhouse at the GIC Ground in Lahore on Saturday. League-stage matches will run all month before the semi-finals and final, which will also be held at Gaddafi Stadium.
The schedule for all three matches will be announced in due course. The first ball of each match will be bowled at 10 am, with the toss taking place at 9.30 am.
