MUST ranked top university in AJK, 45th in Pakistan

MIRPUR (APP): Mirpur University of Science and Technology (MUST) has secured the first position in Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK) and 45th position in Pakistan in the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings 2026.

MUST has demonstrated exceptional performance in various categories, ranking 46th in Teaching, 43rd in Research Environment, 41st in Research Quality, 39th in Industry Engagement, and 32nd in International Outlook among Pakistani universities.

Vice Chancellor Brigadier Younis Javed congratulated the MUST community on this outstanding achievement and appreciated the excellent performance of the Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC).

He emphasized that MUST’s inclusion in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings is a matter of pride not only for the university but also for the entire AJK.

The achievement reflects the university’s academic quality, impactful research, and strong commitment to international collaboration.
