WASHINGTON, DC (Kashmir English): The US President Donald Trump has once again heaped accolades on Pakistan’s Army Chief (COAS) Field Marshal Asim Munir in his recent speech to US military commanders.

Trump disclosed that, in a meeting with Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Munir a few days ago, the senior-most Pakistani military commander applauded his intervention that helped avert a war that could have led to dire implications.

He recounted that COAS Munir informed him, “You saved millions of lives by ending the war. If it were to have proceeded, the harm would have been immeasurable.”

The US president stressed that this action on the part of Pakistan’s Field Marshal was one he particularly valued, terming it an honor to have received such appreciation from him.

Trump also spoke about his previous peacemaking attempts, triumphantly acknowledging that his diplomatic endeavors brought an end to seven wars, the most important of which was the India-Pakistani conflict.

He disclosed that the possibility of a nuclear war was a real issue at that time, further underlining the importance of his involvement.

Though he had succeeded, Trump was disappointed that he was left out of winning the Nobel Peace Prize. “Although I ended seven wars and made peace in the Gaza conflict yesterday, I know I will not be given the Nobel Peace Prize,” Trump complained.

“Instead, they could give it to someone who has accomplished nothing much, and that would be an insult to Americans,” he added.
