RAWALPINDI (Kashmir English): At least 17 Khawarij were killed during the operation of the security forces against terrorists in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, according to Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR).
According to the ISPR, an intelligence-based operation was conducted on September 26 and 27 in the Karak area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on information about the presence of terrorists of the Mullah Nazir group.
The Pakistan Army, Special Services Group (SSG), and Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) participated in the operation.
According to the ISPR, the security forces effectively targeted the hideout of the Khawarij, and 17 Indian proxies were killed in the operation.
The ISPR added that arms and ammunition were also recovered from the slain Khawarij. The slain terrorists were involved in terrorist activities against the security forces and law enforcement agencies.
According to the ISPR, the terrorists were involved in many terrorist activities, including the killing of innocent civilians. A clearance operation is underway to eliminate any other pro-India Khawarij.
The public relations department says that the armed forces are determined to root out the scourge of terrorism under Indian auspices.
Earlier this month, Security forces eliminated 35 Fitna-ul-Hindustan terrorists during operations in different areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
At least 12 braveheart soldiers also sacrificed their lives for the beloved Motherland during the operations.
“During the conduct of operation in Bajaur, own troops effectively engaged the khwarij location, and after an intense fire exchange, twenty two Indian sponsored khwarij were sent to hell”, according to the statement.
“In another encounter that took place in South Waziristan District, thirteen more Khwarij were neutralized by the security forces.
However, during intense fire exchange, twelve brave sons of soil, having fought gallantly, paid the ultimate sacrifice and embraced Shahadat,” it added.
“Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from Indian sponsored killed Khwarij, who remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities in these areas, according to the release from ISPR.
