DUBAI (Kashmir English): The ongoing T20 Asia Cup has become a nightmare for Pakistan’s top-order batter Saim Ayub as he equalled the unwanted record of scoring the most T20I ducks in a calendar year.
The left-handed batter has six ducks to his name in 20 T20I matches played so far in 2025.
During the Asia Cup Super Four match against Bangladesh, Ayub was dismissed for yet another duck on Mahedi Hasan’s bowl, bringing the total number of zero-score dismissals to four in the tournament.
The 23-year-old cricketer scored three ducks in three Group A matches against Oman, India, and the UAE. In the first two matches, he went for the gold duck while playing two deliveries against the UAE.
Even though Saim has failed to do much with the bat in the Asia Cup 2025, he has impressed with his bowling and has picked up six wickets so far.
