KARACHI (Kashmir English): Gold prices in Pakistan skyrocketed to an all-time high on Monday, after rising in the overseas market.
As per rates posted by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the gold price increased by Rs. 3,400 per tola to Rs. 393,700. The 10-gram price also went up by Rs. 2,915 to Rs. 337,534.
The price hike came on the heels of Saturday’s hike when the per tola rate touched Rs. 390,300 after gaining Rs. 1,700 daily.
International rates also edged up, with gold reaching $3,719 per ounce (with an added premium of $20), a $34 gain in the day, APGJSA stated.
At the same time, the price of silver went up by Rs. 63 per tola, lifting the rate to Rs. 4,595.
