ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): President Asif Ali Zardari will leave tomorrow on a 10-day visit from September 12 to 21 at the invitation of the Chinese government.

During his visit, President Asif Ali Zardari will visit the Chinese cities of Chengdu, Shanghai and the Xinjiang Autonomous Region.

During this visit, the President will also hold meetings with the provincial leadership, in which detailed discussions will be held on Pakistan-China bilateral relations.

Asif Zardari will also discuss economic and trade cooperation, China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and future connectivity plans in particular.

During the important visit, the two countries will also exchange views on issues related to cooperation at multilateral forums.

According to the Foreign Office spokesperson, this visit further consolidates the tradition of high-level contacts between Pakistan and China, as well as reflects the determination of the two countries to strengthen their “all-weather strategic cooperative partnership”.

On this occasion, renewed support on issues of mutual interest, promoting economic and trade cooperation, including CPEC, and common commitment to regional peace, development, and stability will be highlighted.
