ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): The District administration has announced the closure of all Margalla hiking trails in the capital city.
According to PMD, Islamabad is expected to experience heavy to torrential rainfall.
The District Magistrate of Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) has notified all authorities that Trail 2, Trail 3, Trail 4, Trail 5, and the tracks behind Saidpur Village would be temporarily closed to the general public on Sunday, August 24, 2025, in the Federal Capital.
A decision has been taken to prioritize public safety during poor weather conditions.
This move is consistent with larger safety precautions being adopted around the country as high monsoon activity continues to affect various locations.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is anticipated to have heavy rain and thunderstorms.
Similarly, severe rains may cause flash floods in local streams and nullahs in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Murree, and Galliyat at the same time.
