ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): The Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) has revealed the CSS 2026 schedule, an important milestone in preparing candidates to work for the government of Pakistan.
The assessment test shall be in two phases: In phase one, the MCQ-Based Preliminary Test (MPT), and in phase two, the written test shall be held.
CSS 2026 Schedule
As per the FPSC, the public notice will be released for MPT online applications on August 10, 2025, and applications will be open from August 11 to August 25, 2025. Applications will be open from August 11, 2025, and the deadline to submit is August 25, 2025. The MPT exam will be held on November 09, 2025.
The qualified candidates in MPT will be eligible to appear in the written exam, following the Public notice issued on December 14, 2025, for online applications. The applications will be open from December 15, 2025, to December 30, 2025. The commencement of the CSS 2026 written exam is scheduled on February 04, 2026.
Age Criteria
The National Assembly has passed an increase in the age limit for applying for CSS from 30 years to 35 years, after the drastic policy change, from 2026 onwards.
Apart from that, the candidates will also be given one more attempt, thus broadening the exam and making it more inclusive.
The FPSC underscored that the CSS 2026 exam plan is provisional and can be revised, too. As the schedule, eligibility, and exam processes have been established, candidates are urged to begin preparation and strive to succeed in Pakistan’s most prestigious examinations.
