MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): In an effort to restore the natural beauty of Azad Kashmir and fight climate change, the Karwan Foundation has started a large-scale tree plantation campaign in the capital city of Muzaffarabad. The campaign aims to promote environmental awareness and reduce the harmful effects of deforestation in the region.
As part of the initiative, more than 1,000 trees are being distributed free of cost to residents, schools, community centers, and local institutions. The Karwan Foundation hopes that by involving the community, the region can be made green and healthy once again.
The plantation drive is part of a wider effort by the Karwan Foundation to help restore ecological balance and educate the public on the importance of protecting the environment.
According to Karwan Foundation, the plants are being distributed among various educational institutions, community centers, and the general public to help make Muzaffarabad and its surrounding areas green again.
The Karwan Foundation has urged people to actively participate in the campaign, care for the trees after planting, and continue similar activities in their neighborhoods. By working together, they believe the region can see long-lasting environmental improvement.
This campaign has received praise from environmentalists and civil society groups, who see it as a much-needed step toward a greener, healthier future for Azad Kashmir.
