ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has conferred the status of Federal Minister to Rana Qasim Noon, MNA and Chairman of the Special Committee of the National Assembly on Kashmir.
A formal notification has been issued by the Cabinet Secretariat (Cabinet Division) with immediate effect.
It may be noted that Rana Qasim, as Chairman Special Parliamentary Committee on Kashmir, has continuously raised his voice for the right of self-determination of the Kashmiri people.
Considering his valuable services in resolving the Kashmir issue, granting the status of Federal Minister is a welcome step that will further strengthen parliamentary efforts on this important global issue.
