MUZAFARABAD (Kashmir English): The government of Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK) is providing complete facilities for the treatment of poor and destitute people of the state outside Azad Kashmir (Pakistan) through the Zakat and Ushr Department, According to Zakat and Ushr Directorate.
Rs. 38.422 crore has been provided for the treatment of 66 patients outside Azad Kashmir (Pakistan) from the Zakat Profit Fund of Prime Minister Anwarul Haq.
Rs. 37,42,509 was released to 5 deserving and destitute patients of Azad Kashmir, including 4 cancer patients, On June 27, 2025, as per the directorate.
Rs. 7,289,224 were released for 14 patients of Muzaffarabad, and Rs. 5,751,797 was released for 10 patients of Jhelum Valley.
Rs 8. 3 million was given to 14 patients in Kotli, Rs 3.8 million to 6 patients in Neelum, and Rs 2.9 million to 5 patients in Bagh.
According to the report, Rs 5.2 million was released for 8 patients in Sidhnoti, and Rs 1.8 million for 3 patients in Haveli Kahuta, and Rs 1.8 million for 4 patients in Rawalakot.
Rs 0.8 million was released for one patient in Bhimber and Rs 0.6 million for one patient in Mirpur.
