RAWALPINDI (Kashmir English): Security forces and police have killed 49 terrorists in a series of joint intelligence-driven operations across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and Balochistan over the last few days, the military’s media wing said on Friday.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that these operations have yielded major successes, inflicting significant blows to the terrorist networks, killing militants, and effectively thwarting any attempt to undermine peace and stability.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 12 terrorists belonging to the Indian-sponsored Fitna Al Khwarij were sent to hell in multiple high-tempo intelligence-based operations in Bannu, North Waziristan, Orakzai and Khyber Districts, it added.
During these operations, a large quantity of explosives, IED detonating remotes, weapons, ammunition, and motorcycles were recovered and destroyed.
Moreover, 37 terrorists belonging to Fitna Al Hindustan were effectively neutralised in ten intelligence-based operations in Balochistan’s Mastung, Mach, Khuzdar and Panjgur Districts.
“A significant quantity of weapons, explosive drums, and remote detonation equipment was seized and destroyed,” the statement added.
The ISPR said that the Security Forces of Pakistan remain resolute and unwavering in their commitment to defend the nation’s frontiers.
“Sanitization operations are being conducted to eliminate any other Indian sponsored Kharji/ terrorist found in the area as rea lentless Counter Terrorism campaign under the Azm-e-Istehkam (as approved by the Federal Apex Committee on National Action Plan) by Security Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies of Pakistan will continue at full pace to wipe out the menace of foreign-sponsored and supported terrorism from the country,” it concluded.
