DERA ISMAIL KHAN (Kashmir English):  Security forces killed 22 terrorists in Dera Ismail Khan in an intelligence-based operation, according to the ISPR.

The operation was carried out on information about the presence of elements of the Indian-sponsored group Fitna-ul-Kharij. The security forces launched an operation in the area after receiving information about the presence of terrorists.

During the operation, the forces opened effective fire on the terrorist hideout, which led to a heavy exchange of fire, as per the ISPR.

According to the spokesperson, 22 terrorists were killed, while a clearance operation is underway in the area to search for any more suspicious elements.

‘Operations will continue under the vision of determination for stability.’ The statement said that this operation was carried out under the vision of determination for stability, which was approved by the Federal Apex Committee in connection with the National Action Plan.

Security forces and law enforcement agencies will continue their operations until the elimination of foreign-sponsored terrorism from the country.

Forces have cordoned off the area and begun sanitization to ensure the elimination of any Indian-backed terrorist presence.
